Top 10 Of My Favorite Craft Supplies from Amazon

Writer's picture: Tara JoyTara Joy

Hello and welcome or welcome back!! Previously I had put up a top ten of my favorite crafting tools from Amazon and in that post, I promised to do a list of craft supplies that I use most from Amazon and today is the day!!

You're probably thinking "What is the difference between tools and supplies?" Well, I'm happy to explain! Simply tools are items that you use to create the items such as drills, saws, shears, etc and supplies are more geared towards paint, wood, glue, etc. So, let's get started on the 10 items that I mostly use in crafting projects.

1. Chalk Paint- I most frequently use the Folk Art brand chalk paint as my go to. I like Chalk paint for a lot of projects because most times it only takes one coat to get a good coverage. https://amzn.to/3RbcvJk

2. Acrylic Paint- If I were to use an acrylic paint for crafting (which sometimes I do depending on the surface that I'm using) I always go with the Apple Barrel brand. Not only is it fairly inexpensive but it also has great coverage. Now unlike chalk paint you will have to apply a few coats, but it works just as well. https://amzn.to/3VoLPaz

3. Hot Glue Sticks- I like to use the Gorilla Glue hot glue sticks because it does have a strong hold, however, if I'm working with wood I tend to lean more towards a wood hot glue stick. https://amzn.to/3wRjQHo https://amzn.to/4c02erA

4. Mod Podge- This is a must not only for decoupaging (which I've been doing a lot of lately) but also for sealing your projects such as mugs to make them dishwasher safe. I use the matte Mod Podge for most craft projects and the Dishwasher safe Mod Podge for mugs and such. https://amzn.to/4bTD3Hc https://amzn.to/4bXQwgY

5. Rub on Transfers- Full disclosure....I am not a big fan of stencils so I found something that to me is much easier to use and just as pretty. Rub on transfers are just that! You apply the design to your project simply by rubbing it on with a craft stick or scraper. Once you remove the carrier sheet your design is there to stay! https://amzn.to/3VqKFvx

Now let's talk blanks!!! If you're unfamiliar with blanks they are what you put your design on.

6. Wood Rounds- You can NEVER have too many wood rounds! These are great to make door decor and many other projects. I usually get them in packs because I will use them all. https://amzn.to/3Va9iv1

7. Wood Coasters- I love to decoupage on these! You can make so many beautiful designs. https://amzn.to/455ASOA

8. Craft Sticks- You're probably thinking how do you craft on craft sticks? Well, let me tell you! What I do is I glue them together to make a pallet sign. Hmmmm....we'll have to do a tutorial on that. https://amzn.to/4aNtWa7

9. Wood Blocks- Yes, more wood! I like wood blocks because you can make a project and don't have to put a hanger on it if you don't want to because they can sit on a table or shelf with no problem. https://amzn.to/45bCciP

10. Canvases- And last but certainly not least are canvases. You don't have to be an artist to use canvases in your projects. I use them alot with decoupage. Coming next week, I will be posting a tutorial on one of my projects using canvases so you may want to pick some up! https://amzn.to/3VqKXT9

Well, there you have it! My favorite crafting supplies from Amazon. I hope this post was helpful to you and gave you some inspiration!

I'll see you next time! :)
