Hello and welcome or welcome back!! Today we're going to learn how to make this precious mason jar floral holder (I guess that's a vase.) for your home. If you're ready let's get crafting!

Supplies Needed:

  1. Galvanized Metal Mason Jar on Stand from Dollar Tree Crafter's Square Galvanized Metal Tabletop Icons, 1.375x4.75x7.125 in. | Dollar Tree

  2. Small wood pallet also from Dollar Tree Crafter's Square Wood Pallets, 6.125x4 in. | Dollar Tree

  3. Acrylic paint in whatever color matches your project

  4. A napkin with any design that you like

  5. Matte Mod Podge https://amzn.to/3VkXSpt

  6. Paint brushes

  7. Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks

Instructions:

First thing you want to do after gathering all your supplies is to give your galvanized mason jar a base coat by painting it all over with white paint. I have found that if you rub the metal down with sandpaper first the paint will adhere better. We do this because most napkins are pretty thin and you don't want the metal to show through.

While that dries go ahead and paint your pallet white as well and set it aside.

Now that your base coat is applied to the mason jar take your napkin and peel away the layers until you only have one layer with your desired design. Again, you can use any napkin that strikes your fancy. Next apply a coat of Mod Podge to the mason jar. You don't want it too thick, and you also don't want to apply it to the "lid" part of the jar because you're going to paint that. Gently lay your napkin on top of the Mod Podge and carefully smooth it out with your fingers to get rid of any wrinkles. After all the wrinkles are out then you want to apply another layer of Mod Podge over the top of the entire napkin and let it dry completely. Once that is completely dried take a piece of sandpaper and gently sand around the edges of the mason jar in a downward motion to remove all the excess napkin.

Next, using your hot glue gun, glue the wood pallet to the back of the mason jar in the middle with the holes facing up. Go ahead and paint the "lid" portion of the mason jar with a color that matches your napkin. For example, I painted mine pink. And once everything is dry go ahead and place some of your favorite flowers or greenery inside the wood pallet and place it on your table or shelf for all to enjoy!

This would be a great craft to make for all holidays using any of the different galvanized shapes that Dollar Tree has and any holiday themed napkin. I'm actually going to do the house one next time I go shopping.

I hope you enjoyed this craft and I'll see you on the next one! Happy Crafting!
