"Creative Crafting: How to Successfully Print on Tissue Paper for Your Projects"

Writer's picture: Tara JoyTara Joy

Good morning! Today I'm going to describe to you how to print on tissue paper to make FABULOUS decoupage crafts. Let's get started!

Supplies you will need:

  1. Printer

  2. Tissue Paper

  3. Card Stock

  4. Design created on Canva or printed off of Google images

First, you're going to take your tissue paper and cut a piece to fit your piece of cardstock leaving a little on all sides to attach to back.

Next take an Elmers glue stick or tape whichever you have on hand and attach the tissue paper to the card stock pulling tight so there are no wrinkles. You want to attach it on the back, so you have no tape or glue interfering with your design.

Place the cardstock with the tissue paper attached into your printer and print your design. I like to adjust the photo size in my printer settings depending on the surface I'll be applying the design to.

Once the printer finishes printing out your design you want to cut it away from the card stock because you're only going to use the tissue paper that the design printed on.

Viola! You have done your first print on tissue paper to create a decoupage craft.

Check out some of my tutorials that use decoupage.

Happy Crafting!
